Steps in Good Nutrition from a Natural Vending Business

One reason many people don’t eat healthy is because they have never learned how to do it or have forgotten. Most of us had health classes when we were in school, and the teachers taught us about the food groups and how we should have foods from those groups. Over time we have developed poor eating habits, and we know once we develop those habits it is very hard to break them. Once you develop the habit of eating poorly, it will be a struggle to return to eating healthy. That doesn’t mean it’s impossible, but you will need to make a firm commitment to changing your lifestyle in order to help yourself become healthier by eating foods that are good for you. That’s why the new naturals vending business called YoNaturals is doing everything it possible can as a company to  bring the best foods to a  vending machine near you.

Sometimes people eat foods that are unhealthy because they don’t know any better. The wording on packages can be misleading—low fat, low sugar, reduced fat, reduced sugar. What do the words really mean? How truthful are the claims we read on labels? One rule each of us needs to remember is if we are looking to reduce the amount of fat, sugar, or anything else in our foods, if an ingredient is among the first three on the label, the product contains too much. The reason for this is because manufacturers list the ingredients based upon the highest quantities. Thus if a product lists sugar as the first ingredient, that means there is more sugar than any other ingredient in that product. If you are looking to reduce sugar, you want to avoid that product.

Instead of worrying about reading labels, we should return to our roots and serve our families fresh fruits and vegetables with natural seasonings. The problem today is people want everything ready to eat in just a few minutes—our grandparents took the time to cook food from the garden or produce market because they didn’t know any other way to do it. Modern manufacturing has made us either lazy or just unaware of healthier ways to prepare our meals. Too much cooking drains the nutrients from foods which is why steaming is preferred for vegetables. Many people like raw vegetables, especially carrots, celery, broccoli, and even spinach, and this is where the nutrients lie. The more raw vegetables you eat, the more nutrients you will derive from them.

In the 21st century many of us are lacking in nutrition. What our ancestors gained naturally we must supplement with man-made vitamins and minerals. Many of the vitamins and minerals we need perform their job better if they are consumed in their natural form—in food products. Only when we return to eating naturally can be improve the health of our children and ourselves. That means returning to the way our grandparents cooked instead of just popping something into the microwave or oven.

Eat More to Eat Less by YoNaturals

YoNaturals tips on how to eat well by John Schell. While a spoon full of sugar might not be the healthiest medicine, a handful of nuts might be just what the doctor ordered. One of the easiest ways to feel full and regulate your food intake is by grabbing a quick snack in anticipation of a full meal. By curbing your appetite before you sit down to the table, you can find a better nutritional balance in every meal.

Healthy eating is a delicate balance of eating what you want to eat and
what you should eat. All too often when we sit down in front of
something that we want to eat we are compelled to stuff our faces
because we weren’t fulfilled by what we were supposed to eat.
Fortunately the two can be the same thing. By finding a snack food, like
dried fruit or nuts, that you like to eat, you can enjoy the meals that
you want to eat without feeling ravaged by hunger. Eating more can help
us eat less.

The nut trick works because of a chemical called CCK, which is released
by the intestines after digesting a meal. CCK, along with other hormones
like ghrelin, tells the hunger center in your brain that you’ve been
satisfied, which is why you feel full. The problem with the chemical
delivery system is that it doesn’t kick in until twenty minutes after
you’ve started eating; and in twenty minutes it’s easy to eat more than
you needed.

Nuts are concentrated calories. But that’s a good thing. Your body won’t
tell you that you’re getting full until after it has ingested 65
calories. A small handful of nuts contains around 70 calories, so that
handful is the perfect amount of food to kick-start the CCK in the
intestines.

It’s easy: snacks aren’t just for the middle of the day to keep you
going until dinner. The principle is to stay ahead of the hormonal
system that controls your hunger. About twenty minutes before a meal,
grab a “Sensible Foods” blend or a “Stretch Island” fruit leather, each
of which has around 70 calories per serving. Now when you sit down to
eat you won’t be filling your face because you feel like you’re
starving. Your stomach will have slowed down and you will be able to
enjoy your meal.

The trade off is simple. 70 calories of healthy YoNaturals products before dinner could easily save you from eating a couple hundred extra calories of
Chicken Alfredo. Control your hunger so that your hunger doesn’t control
you.
